Bedside Cot Reviews

A bedside crib (also called a bassinet) sits next to your bed, so you can be able to provide care to your baby during night feeds and diaper changes without needing to get out of the bed. These cribs are great for helping to build independence for your child as they get more comfortable in their own bed.

bedside crib or cot  Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that lets parents sleep with their infant while making sure they're safe. Its smooth gliding motion helps to lull your baby back to sleep, and its ingenuous features ensure that you can monitor them without having to leave your bed.

The sliding side panel of the cot can be lifted and lowered by a simple push of a single button. This makes it easy to reach inside and soothe a baby at night. It has 11 height adjustments that can be adjusted to fit nearly any mattress size, and adjustable folding feet to ensure that it's at the right level.

In terms of safety the cot is padded and has mesh sides for increased ventilation, while its mattress is made of high-density foam for additional protection. It's also wipeable so you can keep it clean, and it is fitted with a sheet that's suitable for use with the cot.

The Roomie Glide, unlike some other cribs for beds, is compatible with a wide range of beds, including divans. This is due to the clips and straps that connect to it. It can be used as a standalone crib when it is not connected to the bed. It has many amazing features designed with parent and baby bonding in mind.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that while this crib is great for infants, it will not last long after your little one turns six months old, and you'll need to invest in a bigger cot. But, in general Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she especially liked its sleek design.

John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a fair price for a cot. She also liked the way it appeared in the bedroom and believed that the grey color is a good fit for modern homes. She did point out that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby in the early years because it can create a bad sleep pattern for later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib that was designed to ensure a peaceful night's sleep in mind. It comes with an adjustable side rail that can be easily lowered to feed your child during the night without disturbing them or getting out of the bed. This is great for mothers who breastfeed! It's also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or for travel.

It's made of soft materials and has mesh sides that breathe to increase airflow. It is available in oak or charcoal with various melange fabrics that can be incorporated with most decor styles. Anna found it to be solid and secure when it was attached to her bed with the legs securely clicking into place and the zips secure to ensure baby safety. It took her around 10 minutes to put together and didn't require tools, with clear instructions and a video or customer support number if you encounter any problems.

The CoZee crib comes with all the features you'd expect from a crib for your bedside, including the ability to connect it to your bed using a stay-in-place connection system. It also has six height settings. In addition, there is an inclined feature that can be used to aid babies with congestion or reflux. It's also machine washable, a must with all the dribble and vomit that come with having a new baby!

The CoZee is a fantastic option if you want to keep your child close during their first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a crib, changing station or toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa bed extension pack, it could transform into a cot. Although it can't magically bring your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock them and send them off.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco's more expensive alternatives. It does have a lot of amazing features. It's designed as a side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth up to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel thanks to the new mechanism. It is also more adjustable than the predecessor, with 11 different height settings as well as legs that retract to fit underneath any bed.

Our testers appreciated the ease of use offered by the side panel which can be moved upwards and down with one click of a button. This was a huge help during feeding times at night, as it meant they could reach into and pick up their baby without waking them.

The side panel can be removed by itself, too however, it's not advised as it increases the chance of your child falling out of the cot. However, the safety locking mechanism means that it will only stay down when attached to the parent's bed correctly. This feature is fantastic to have peace of mind when you are breastfeeding and need frequent nighttime feeds.

Telescopic legs allow the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, such as divan bases or beds with drawers. It also comes with a tilting function for reflux babies and a rocking feature to bring them back to sleep after eating. It's also incredibly spacious and offers excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it does have quite lengthy instructions. It's heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, but it's very portable and can be moved from room room easily. It can also be folded into a bag for travel which is ideal when you need to transport it. The only issue our testers found is that the side panel didn't stretch as much as other models. This caused it to be a bit more difficult to see the baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

If you're looking for a crib for your bed that will grow with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth looking into. It is designed to be a co-sleeping bassinet that is attached to your bed and convert into a stylish cot once your baby is ready. It's ideal for feeding at night and for strengthening your bond with your newborn.

The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, unlike some other cribs. Its dual-view mesh side panels and breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress maximise airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope can help ease reflux and colic. The zip-down side lets you to feed your baby or soothe them at night.

The cot conversion kit is also well designed, with clear instructions. It includes everything you require. It took us about an hour to put together and was fairly simple to put together. The only issue was the absence of captions in writing on a few of the images which made it difficult to comprehend certain steps. Overall, it was a straightforward procedure and the quality of materials used was excellent.

The Shnuggle Air is a great choice for women who are breastfeeding or have had C-sections. It allows them to reach out and hold their baby to comfort them and feeding without leaving their bed. It's great for parents who don't want the hassle of putting their baby in a traditional cot or getting out of it.

The gliding motion was found to be extremely helpful in lulling babies to sleep after feedings during the midday or at night. The drop-down side is also easily accessed to feed or soothe babies during the middle of the night this was a huge draw for our exhausted test moms. The Joie Roomie Glide is a sleek and functional crib that doesn't rock nor does it come with extra features like the sound machine.
